WHAT IS BIRD QUEST?
- A light-hearted competition.
- A way to discover your parks and natural areas.
- A way to discover the unique birds that live in and migrate through our region.
- A chance to learn how to identify birds by sight, sound, behavior, and habitat.
- A chance to have fun with family, friends, and colleagues.
- A fun morning outdoors.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
- Teams or individuals have 5 hours on weekend morning to visit sites in theri county of their choice, including on our expert-led walks. Birds are identified by sight or sound. The goal is to find as many different species of birds as possible.
- During the noon hour, all participants gather for lunch, T-shirts, story swapping, and door prizes.
- We have pre-Quest training sessions in late April and early May to help your birding skills.
